Full Bloom comes
from deep roots.

ORIGINS
If you've encountered memory care that feels generic or impersonal—care that overlooks who your loved one was, is, or still can be—you're not alone. Many families—including our own—have faced the same struggle.
Our founders are more than just leaders in the field; we’ve walked in your shoes and know firsthand what it takes to provide care that’s truly personalized. United by shared values, ethics, and empathy for families facing cognitive decline, we came together to create a new approach to memory care.
What could we achieve, we wondered, if we combined our experience and expertise? What impact could we make as the employer of choice for professional caregivers—offering the best training, benefits, and opportunities to grow? And how many families could we help if we made people—not profit—our priority?
That’s when the idea of Full Bloom began to grow.
Seed
2002
Full Bloom CEO and Co-Founder Jim Kimzey’s mother is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Jim, with an extensive background in healthcare consulting, becomes the Alzheimer’s expert in the family. He immerses himself in learning everything he can about the disease and educates his siblings on what their family can do to help their mother.
2008
Jennifer Muskat, Co-Founder and Chief Client Officer, joins Home Care Assistance, which her family founded in 2002. Under their leadership, Home Care Assistance expanded across the U.S. and internationally, becoming one of the largest, most-respected home care agencies in the world. Jennifer plays a key role in the continued expansion, establishing offices in Chicago and San Diego, which become two of the company’s largest, most successful branches. More significantly, Jennifer pioneers best practices for cognitive care throughout the company and helps develop a one-on-one activity program that she later adapts for group settings at one of the nation’s largest Continuing Care Retirement Communities.
2009
Jim launches Tender Rose Dementia Care Specialists in response to the lack of specialized dementia care he experienced while caring for his mother. For the next decade, Jim dedicates himself to providing exceptional care for people with dementia.
2011
Andy Tysinger, Co-Owner, President, and COO, joins Seniorcorp in Southeastern Virginia as Chief Operating Officer and Co-Owner, helping grow the company into one of the largest independent home care agencies in the country. Seniorcorp was known for high-quality caregiver training and premium care provided to its clients. Seniorcorp was also an early industry leader in sharing its best practices with other home care agencies.
2020
Jennifer and Andy’s companies are ranked in the top 1% of revenue among home care agencies nationwide. While they take pride in this honor, they’re particularly proud to see their hard work and dedication paying off. Andy and Jim merge their companies with Home Care Assistance.
